Laugh At Yourself
Your Full Name
My internet alias is Zee Zee Love
Tell us about you
Well, I didn’t plan on doing digital art at all, actually I wrote poetry (bad, bad poetry). I just stumbled on some photo manipulations and thought “that’s something I’d like to do”. I also share an art account with one of my oldest/best friends on deviantart, she does the drawings and paintings and all that awesome good stuff. (She’s really good).
In your opinion, what would be the secret ingredients to become a great digital artist?
It depends on what you like to do, but doing something different in technique is always good.

Where are you located?
Europe, but I’ll be moving to Asia, somewhere in between my home countries.
What would be your most rewarding experience becoming a digital artist so far?
The best part for me was when someone asked me for help with a photo manipulation.
Where do you get inspirations from?
Looking at art always inspires.
How do you promote/ sell/ showcase your work?
Online only! I don’t sell art because I don’t feel it’s good enough to sell. It would be nice if I could one day, though.

Do you work better at night or in the morning? Why?
I work better at night, probably because I’m tired and working on something when I’m tired makes the hours fly by, but when I wake up in the mornings after I posted something I think “oh my god, did it turn out okay?” and then I panic.
What is your strength as a digital artist compared to others in the industry?
Um…
Who is a digital artist that you look up to? Why so?
I have a few, but I especially love the work of Anja Millen, what she does is fantastic.

Describe a difficult work/ project situation and how would you overcome it?
Trying to create something that looks real, even though it isn’t. You overcome something like that by spending hours on end trying to figure out what the missing ‘real’ element is, and fixing it.
What do you think about the Internet and how it is affecting our lifestyle?
I like that it’s giving people the option to voice their opinions, but it can make people too lazy if they go on too much. (like myself D: )
If you could turn back time, how would you do things differently?
I would have got a job right after leaving school.

How does the global economic recession affecting the industry, or the least affecting your business/ work?
I was fired from one of my jobs because they didn’t have enough money to pay… but I got another job quickly after that. Concerning photo manipulation, not at all (to me, anyway)
Name 3 of your favorite (art) books/ magazines.
Sorry, I don’t have any!
What is your life motto?
Laugh at yourself.
If you are using any software in producing your work, what are those? Do they make your work easier? How so?
PSCS3, well as a photomanipulator it makes my job much, much easier.
What do you like the sound of? Why so?
I like the sound of Billie Holiday’s voice! But I no longer like the sound of ‘merry Christmas’ tune since that’s what my alarm clock plays to me. Every morning.
