I’m a Canadian photographer based in Tokyo, Japan. I’ve been here for 4 years, and have worked on a wide variety of   portrait and fashion projects, for various magazines and companies.

What’s one thing you wish you knew when you started your career?

When dealing with a client, never assume. These simple words are certainly ‘easier said than done.’ Only with time and experience do you realize how important it is to never assume. When I’m working with a client, it’s essential to clarify everything – their needs, desires, expectations, and what I can deliver, at what exact price.
