Tell us about yourself and what you are currently doing/working on exactly?
I am living in Berlin and working as a free motion graphic artist. I com from an industrial – product design background, from there i moved towards graphics and from there again over to motion and film. I like to combine different media and find new ways of expressions.

If you have a bachelor degree/education background; what is it?
I have a diploma in industrial design.

Tell us about this movie you made, titled “Monoptik”. What was the idea behind it originally?
Dan Santucci released his debut album and asked me to choose a song from it to make a clip over. So i got inspired by the track Monoptik, which has a perfekt atmosphere and length.

I wanted to tell a live/love story. The maincharacters became a Lime and a Lemon.

They are very similar but still different, so they fall in love, get married, have troubles and sweet times….and live happily ever after .

Would you explain a bit about the process of creating the movie? What were the challenges and how you went around it?
The technic was a roughly done stop motion process. So i shot the move through the room frame by frame and worked a bit in post.

Describe how you feel at the starting of a new project?
Exiting (depends of course on the project). Then you cut down the options you have, find the best way for realizing it and solving problems.

How do you see yourself 5 years from now?
I want to go on to find new ways of combining different media and focusing on different ways of expressions.

How do you overcome creative block?
Hmmmm looking for a bit at something else. then going back and focus. then again think about something else and focus again.

What’s one thing you wish you knew when beginning this passion?
It s good if you start blank, so I am happy that i didn’t know anything.
